About Jill

I am trained to think about a problem or situation systemically, meaning in context with the relationships of all involved. I use this frame whether you are coming in as a family or as an individual. With that said, I draw from many therapeutic styles when creating a treatment plan that best suits your needs.

I am originally from Phoenix, Arizona. I traded sunshine and triple digit summers for the beaches and forests of the Pacific Northwest in 1998.

In my past life I worked as a Preschool, Kindergarten and First Grade teacher. After teaching, I realized my passion was helping build stronger families. I obtained my Masters in Psychology from Antioch University Seattle in 2005.

I am Teaching Faculty at Antioch University of Seattle. I am also the current President of the Washington Association for Play Therapy.

I have two dogs, Sasha and Stuart Little.  Sasha, seen in the photo on the right, is a rescue dog. She has high anxiety but with a behavior plan and medication she is making great strides everyday. Stuart Little is 6 years old and loves playing and swimming at dog parks.

I love living in Seattle. In my free time, I enjoy hiking with my dog, yoga, spending time with friends and traveling.
